Gold Spammers Gone Wild?

May 23, 2010

Today’s topic: Gold sellers

Why: Because I ran across the scene below while on my new account, (no that is not why I have not been online, blame that on school.)

So I was on one of my new chars and I saw a new approach gold sellers have been taking to advertise there product. Normally this would not concern me but it is the manner they did it this time. They have taken hunter pets and enslaved them into a life of poster boyship! FIGHT FOR PETS RIGHTS!

SHOUT OUTS: This shout out goes to gold spammers, your karma will catch up with you and when it dose I hope your pets abandon you!

Thank you very much and happy hunting!

Celestial Steed

April 18, 2010

Today’s topic: Mounts

Why: Because Blizzard has just released a new mount that you can purchase in the pet store. Here is the info.

The Celestial Steed is a ground/ flying mount that adjusts to the riders mount skill. It also will adjust it’s speed to 310% speed if you have a 310% speed mount in your stable. It is centered around a star formation type of char model that was more than likely a concept from the Ulduar theme. Here is a picture of the beauty and the beauty riding it. We Dwarfs love purple chicks.

It can be purchased (no there is no other way to get it I believe unless via promotion) inside the Blizzard store along with a few more exciting in game companion pets that Blizzard has added. The going price for one of these flying/ running celestial beauties is $25.00. Tell us what you think of that in the comments below.

SHOUT OUTS: This shout out goes to the vlog fans. I will be having part 3 of our Spirit Beast series out very soon on YouTube keep in touch.

Thank you very much and happy hunting!

Cataclysm class preview: hunter

April 10, 2010

Today’s topic: What blizzard is going to be doing with the hunter class when they release Cataclysm.

Why:  Because we want to know the improvements or the.. suck ups they are going to be doing to our class from what I have read it looks good so far.

This is straight from a thread on the World of Warcraft forum page read it, study it and prepare your self. I can not wait for it, this I think is going to be the most highly anticipated expansion we have had to date.

With the upcoming World of Warcraft: Cataclysm many game elements will be changing, and each class will be receiving a number of tweaks. Here, we will explore the changes that are being made to the gun-wielding, pet-training hunter. The information you’re about to read is certainly not complete, and is only meant to act as a preview of some of the exciting new things to come. Without further ado, let’s take a look at the new hunter abilities!

New Hunter Abilities

Cobra Shot (level 81): A new shot that deals Nature damage instead of Physical damage. This ability will share a cooldown with Steady Shot. This will give hunters an alternative to Steady Shot on heavily-armored targets, and we will have talent incentives in the Beast Mastery tree to make this a signature shot.

Trap Launcher (level 83): When used, the next trap can be shot to a location within 40 yards. This provides the current Freezing Arrow treatment to all traps and, as a result, we will be removing the current ability Freezing Arrow. 1-minute cooldown. No global cooldown.

Camouflage (level 85): The hunter enters an obscured state that prevents him or her from taking ranged damage. The character would still be subject to melee or area-of-effect attacks, and dealing or taking damage will break the Camouflage effect. The hunter can move and set traps when under Camouflage, and will receive a damage bonus when attacking while under Camouflage (which will then break the effect).

Resource Mechanic Change

Here we come to the meat of the upcoming hunter changes.

  • Hunters will no longer use mana; instead the class will use Focus. Focus generates much like Energy, by building up. It will not be affected by Intellect at all. Haste will improve its generation. Hunters will generate roughly 6 Focus per second, slightly less than rogues’ Energy generation rate of around 10 Energy per second. Below, we have listed some examples of how we intend Focus costs to operate:
    • Steady Shot/Cobra Shot: No cost. Generates 9 Focus per shot (or 12 per second instead of 6).
    • Arcane Shot/Chimera Shot /Explosive Shot: 45 Focus.
    • Aimed Shot/Multi-Shot: 60 Focus.
    • Concussive Shot/Tranquilizing Shot: 35 Focus.
    • Rapid Fire/Master’s Call/Disengage: 30 Focus.

Changes to Abilities and Mechanics

In addition to the resource change and new abilities listed above, we intend to make adjustments to some of the other abilities and mechanics you already know well. This list and the summary of talent changes below it are by no means comprehensive, but they should give you a good sense of what we’re going for with each spec.

  • A major change coming for the hunter is the removal of ammunition. Guns, bows, and crossbows will now do damage without consuming ammunition at all. There will be no more ammo slot on the hunter’s character display. Any ammunition that a hunter has at the time of the change will become gray sellable items. Existing quivers will be converted into large bags — though each hunter can only have one and non-hunters will not benefit from this change — and we will not be making any additional quivers.
  • Pet management will also change. Hunters will now have two types of attainable pets: active pets and stored pets. Hunters will be able to have up to three active pets (perhaps five for Beast Mastery specialized players) and will have the ability to switch among these pets any time they are out of combat, without going to town. They will also be able to have a large number of pets in storage at the stables. In order to swap a pet from active to passive, a hunter will still need to visit their local Stable Master. However, this should afford ample storage for the many Spirit Beasts wandering the lands of Azeroth.
  • Additionally, hunters will now start with a race-appropriate pet at level 1 and will be able to tame a different pet at level 10. We are also changing many pet family abilities to provide important buffs and debuffs. The intention is to allow the hunter to be able to swap pets and fill a position if a certain role is missing from the group. The goal is to have all pets provide a damage increase that is very similar and no greater than any other pet. Some examples of the changes we are making to the pet families are listed below:
    • Wind Serpents: Will provide a debuff that increases the amount of spell damage taken by an enemy (similar to a weaker version of the warlock ability Curse of Elements).
    • Ravagers: Will provide a debuff that will increase an enemy’s Physical damage vulnerability (similar to a weaker version of the warrior ability Blood Frenzy).
    • Hyenas: Will provide bleed damage (similar to a weaker version of the druid ability Mangle).
  • Stings and other periodic effects will now benefit from haste and critical strike ratings. Hasted damage-over-time abilities do not lose duration, but instead add additional damage ticks.
  • Viper Sting will now restore 9 Focus every 3 seconds.
  • We are reinforcing hunters as a ranged class. To this end, the class will now start with ranged abilities at level 1, and we will be removing some melee abilities, such as Mongoose Bite.

New Talents and Talent Changes

  • Beast Mastery hunters will have a new talent called Careful Aim, which increases the damage of the next Steady Shot or Cobra Shot, but also increases the cast time of these abilities. The intention is to make the combination of spells into a decent damage opener, especially in conjunction with the new ability Camouflage.
  • Beast Mastery hunters will also have talents that make Cobra Shot superior to Steady Shot, such as Longevity reducing the cast time of Cobra Shot to 1.5 seconds.
  • Rapid Recuperation will cause Rapid Fire to give 20/40/60 Focus immediately and will cause Rapid Killing to generate 3 Focus per second.
  • Efficiency will reduce the Focus cost of Chimera Shot, Aimed Shot, and Arcane Shot.
  • Thrill of the Hunt grants Focus when you land a critical strike.
  • Hunter vs. Wild increases the hunter’s Focus generation when his or her pet is snared, stunned, or rooted.

Mastery Passive Talent Tree Bonuses

Beast Mastery
Ranged Damage
Haste
Pet Damage

Marksmanship
Ranged Damage
Armor Penetration
Double Shot

Pet Damage: Many of the passive benefits to pet damage will no longer be available in the Beast Mastery talent tree. However, these will be provided through the new Mastery mechanic.

Double Shot: The hunter will have a chance to launch a free attack off of the global cooldown for 50% damage.

Elemental Damage: Hunter abilities such as traps, Black Arrow, and Explosive Shot will do elemental damage of the following types: Improves the Arcane, Fire, Frost, Nature or Shadow damage of abilities like traps, Black Arrow and Explosive Shot.

We hope you enjoyed this preview, and ask that you provide your initial thoughts and feedback on what was presented here. Please keep in mind that what you’ve just reviewed is a work in progress and as we move closer to the Cataclysm beta, you’ll see these planned changes as well as others continue to develop in response to feedback and testing.

SHOUT OUTS: This shout out goes to everybody! I can not wait!

Thank you very much and happy hunting!

Hard drive is full?!

Today’s topic: The Vlog

Why: Because we made our King Krush video and when we started to upload it, our Mac told us we did not have enough space.

So in order to deal with this we are going to move all of our umpteen thousand movies we have on our Mac over to our PlayStation 3. Oh and BTW if you have a PS3 send us your ID and get to know us. So we are doing that right now and as soon as we get done we are going to have a new video up on YouTube. Sorry for being out so long I was sick and you really can not do anything when you are sick.

SHOUT OUTS: This shout out goes to all the blog readers and all the vlog viewers. Sorry for being sick I will try to get new material coming up on a regular schedule again but it might be hard I got a vacation coming up.

World of Warcraft, Eh?

March 18, 2010

Today’s topic: Our blog header

Why: Because we are going to spend this blog giving a HUGE thanks to Kelly Aarons at woweh.com. She has drawn a beautiful piece of art and we know she deserves credit for drawing such a great piece.

Believe it or not she did not actually draw this piece for Ironweaver I found it on the internet and loved it so much and thought it resembled Ironweaver so much I decided to ask her about using it for the blog. And here I am telling you how happy I am that she said yes! I highly suggest to you guys and girls that you check out her site @ the link above. She is a wonderful artist and very kind. She dose not bite! I promise! The piece I asked her about is located below. As I said before dose it not look like Ironweaver and Crazy bear?

SHOUT OUTS: This shout out goes to Kelly Aarons and woweh.com thanks so much and keep up the great work we here at the Ironweaver blog appreciate you so much.

Thank you very much and happy hunting!

For The Alliance!

March 16, 2010

Today’s topic: Mounts

Why: Because not only is a Dwarf on a bear mount a classic fantasy MUST! The achievements that come along with it are epic and so is the feeling that comes along with slaughtering the leaders of the Horde.

We finally got a group together that could do it! We had a tank in our guild do all the heavy damage taking while we shot our little gun and killed um good! Took about a hour and we got video of it, which will be in a up coming video on YouTube. We are really excited and extremely busy! We started with a full raid group and ended it with only one group open I am guessing they were the AFK people that got kicked. Over all a really fun experience if you have not had a chance to do it, you have to go! It is a absolute must and a very fun achievement. Look at me!

For The Alliance! Killing the leaders of the Horde is not a very lightly taken task!

Here is the achievement spam that we got along the way!

Carine Bloodhoof of Thunderbluff!

Thrall the Warchief of Orgrimar and the Horde!

Sylvanas of the Undercity!

Now you ask us… where is that Blood Elf guy well… we were filming a video and at the very very end right before we killed him the vid made our comp lag so we lost the video and the achievement screenshot! Oh well.

SHOUT OUTS: This shout out goes to Guntitan and drunkendwarf.net! We can not wait to get our new home up and running! We need a new home… our pets are getting tired of sleeping in card board boxes… no home FTL! /cry

Thank you very much and happy hunting!

Love Explosion!

March 7, 2010

Today’s topic: Mounts

Why: Because we have only seen one person with this mount on our server and we thought we would share.

We were hanging out in Ironforge and we saw a girl on the Big Love Rocket! I have not wrote a blog in so long and seeing this got my blog juices flowing again. I asked for a screen shot and she was nice enough to let me. I have to say this is one of the more wacky looking mounts in the game. (IMO). I do not know if it is a flying mount or not so why don’t you guys leave me comments and tell me. I will have more blogs coming it is just me and Crazy beast are really busy with school. Also I took a  break from playing WoW because of school I am back now I hope. Next semester should be way easier and I should be able to play more. I left CoD to get geared and then I quit playing WoW did not even get any gear when I came back I went back to CoD it was kind of pointless but it was very fun. If you guys are looking for a good guild to raid with I highly suggest <Rock Solid>. But here is the screen shot of Stv and her Big Love Rocket mount.

SHOUT OUTS: This shout out goes to all the people who got dumped on V- Day or a few days before it.

Thank you very much and happy hunting!

On Wings of Nether

February 3, 2010

Today’s topic: Mounts

Why: Because we got a new one and we worked our little Dwarven butt off for it!

So we have have been doing the Netherwing rep grind in Shadowmoon Valley… we started last Monday so it took basically a week and 2 days of hardcore rep grinding. But in the very end it is all worth it you get a  very nice mount a achievement… PICTURES IRONWEAVER! and I say OK!

The rep grind is very long and tedious but once you get a rhythm going… it become s a daily task that you can easily get used to. The daily quests consist of objectives stretching as far as flying all the way to Nagrand to kill 20 twilight portal defenders to simply collecting ore inside of the Nether Mine. but for those who are hard core grinders their is a special item for you to farm… they are called Netherwing Eggs and they award 250 rep per egg! They help immensely with obtaining rep faster. PICTURES IRONWEAVER! and I say OK!

At the end of it all… the grinding, the blood shed, the tears and the Booteranges you threw at lazy peons… you will end up with a beauty that you and others can behold and worship… the Netherwing Drake. Once you obtain the EXALTED reputation with the Netherwing you will get a quest that will take you across Outland on top of a beautiful drake and land in Shattrath city and their you be able to choose between 6 different colored drakes (choose wise you can only get one)! THIS IS THE ONE WE GOT!

SHOUT OUTS: This shout out goes to all the people who played the Burning Crusade and never got one… keep grinding and never give up!

Thank you very much and happy hunting!

Battered Hilt or Battered Wallet?!

February 2, 2010

Today’s topic : Gear

Why: Because we want to know why the Battered Hilt is so gosh darn expensive!

We can start with a  item over view… no I am not going to show you every single item that you can acquire at the end of the bettered hilt quest chain this is just a guide for hunters! Keep it in the class aye? Ok so on my server we can buy a Battered Hilt off  the auction house for about… 12k… which is crazy! They used to be 2k! The day we saved up 2k to buy one they dropped the drop rate… and the price went up…  and we do not like that boo hiss Blizzard!

This is the item as you a hunter should end up getting from the Battered Hilt quest chain. Quel’Delar, Ferocity of the Scorned. Here is a pretty picture of it!

We want it so bad! We have ran PoS (Pit of Saron)… sooo many times and it has not dropped once for us… we just want to see it drop and if we WIN IT… We would be so excited it would not even be funny. STATS! YOU! WANT! STATS! Here they are…

Pretty much the most awesome looking thing we have ever seen! It is a very sexy sword.

SHOUT OUTS: This shot out out goes to Guntitan! Good luck with getting it brother I am going to be trying just as hard as you and remember… keep it in the guild!

Thank you very much and happy hunting!
